McDonalds Owner Operator Convention Organising Committee today announced that all surplus funds from the Convention will be donated to the Victorian Bushfire Appeal established by the State Government. Convention Convenor, Mike Rodgers said “The devastation caused by this weekend’s bushfires in Victoria, the extent of their impact on local communities and the loss of life is a tragedy felt by the whole nation.
“This is an extraordinary and devastating event, that is still unfolding in Victoria and there are also fires affecting New South Wales. The donation of the Convention surplus funds is just one way we can directly assist those people in the community.

On behalf of the Victorian and Tasmanian Licensees, I wish to invite you and your families to the 2009 McDonald’s Owner Operators Convention in Melbourne 23-26 March 2009. We intend featuring the unique features of Melbourne which is famous for its sporting venues, restaurants, theatres and shopping precincts. It truly offers something for everyone.
The convention will include speakers that will both inform and entertain you. In our current business environment we all understand the need to seek relevant information, but equally appreciate the importance of enjoying the company of our families and friends. We have deliberately not themed the convention, our simple aim is to reenergize you.
The plenary sessions and supplier exhibition will be held at Crown Promenade Hotel, as its location also offers numerous accommodation, dining and social facilities. I encourage you to extend your stay and enjoy the numerous sporting events or visit wineries in the Yarra Valley and the Mornington Peninsula. Or perhaps a drive along the world famous Great Ocean Road would be more to your liking.
